Kuang Ping Style Lineage:
Wang Zong Yue (founder t'ai chi ch'uan)
Zhang Song Xi
Master Chen Wang Ting (1600-1680, founder Chen
style)
Master Chen Chang Xin (1771-1853, Old Form Chen
style Sifu)
Master Yang Lu Chan (1799-1872, founder
Yang style)
the Yang family served the Ch'ing dynasty;
they taught commoners in Kuang Ping village what is now called Kuang Ping
style
Master Yang Pan Hou
(Yang Lu Chan's son; taught Kuang Ping & Pei Ching branches of
T'ai Chi boxingmost famous Kuang Ping descendant: Ch'en Hsiu
Feng)
Master Wang Ch'iao Yu
("to understand the real skill, your heart must look
into a clear mirror")
Master Kuo Lien-Ying came to San Francisco and
taught:
Gil Messenger, (in Seattle last
I heard) who taught:
Laura MacCormac (who moved
to Phoenix) who taught:
Marjorie Jackson, my
teacher, still in LA area
Isabeau Vollhardt, L.Ac.
I studied with Marjorie for 4 years before commencing teaching
with her permission; my t'ai chi ch'uan studies were "interrupted" by five
years of acupuncture schooling, during which I learned meridian theory &
points location. I discovered certain movements stimulated qi at certain
points & meridians while practicing and teaching Kuang Ping style. I
pass on this knowledge to my students today.
